Terms of service
Plain terms for how we quote, schedule, get paid and stand behind our work. Your signed proposal governs your specific job.
Last updated August 2026.
1. Who we are
Nexus Foam Insulation, 6522 Lozano St, Houston, TX 77041. Phone (713) 281-9585. Email tenergyfoam.av@gmail.com. Referred to below as "we" or "Nexus".
2. Estimates and proposals
Estimates are free and are given in writing. A written proposal lists the scope, foam type, thickness, target R value, prep, removal if any, and cleanup. Prices in a proposal are held for 30 days unless the proposal says otherwise. Verbal numbers are ballparks, not quotes.
If we find conditions we could not see at the walkthrough, such as hidden water damage, structural repair, or wiring that must be corrected before we can spray, we stop and issue a change order for your approval before continuing. We do not add cost to an invoice without your sign off.
3. Scheduling
Work is scheduled once you accept the proposal. Weather affects roof coating work and can affect exterior application, and we will move a date rather than spray in conditions that will compromise the result. We will give you as much notice as we can when that happens.
If your site is not ready on the scheduled day, for example rough in is incomplete or an inspection has not passed, we will reschedule. Repeated same day cancellations may carry a mobilization charge, which will be disclosed before it is applied.
4. Access and site conditions
You agree to give us safe access to the work area, including a place to park the rig within hose reach, working power where needed, and clearance of items you do not want covered or moved. We will cover and protect the areas we work in, but we ask that valuables, electronics and anything fragile be removed from the space in advance.
You are responsible for telling us about known hazards: asbestos containing materials, active pest infestations, knob and tube wiring, unvented combustion appliances, or structural damage. If we discover asbestos or similar material, we stop work until it is handled by a licensed abatement contractor.
5. Occupancy and ventilation
Nobody other than our crew may occupy the space during application. We will set up ventilation and give you a specific reoccupancy time in writing or verbally before we leave. Following that guidance is your responsibility once we are off site.
6. Payment
Residential work is generally due on completion. Larger commercial work may be split into a deposit and progress payments as set out in the proposal. We accept check, card and bank transfer. Invoices unpaid after 30 days may accrue interest at the rate stated on the invoice, and we reserve our lien rights under Texas law.
7. Warranty
We warrant our workmanship for two years from the date of completion: adhesion, coverage and thickness as specified. Foam material carries the manufacturer's own warranty, which we will identify on request. Roof coating systems carry the manufacturer's warranty term stated in your proposal, subject to their inspection requirements.
The warranty does not cover damage from water intrusion originating outside our scope, roof failure, structural movement, pest activity, fire, storm, alterations by others, or removal or damage of foam by another trade after we leave. It also does not cover performance claims tied to your utility bills, since those depend on your equipment and your usage.
8. What we do not guarantee
We will tell you what we expect foam to do for your building, and we will be honest about it. We do not guarantee a specific dollar saving, a specific temperature, or a specific percentage reduction on a utility bill, because those depend on your HVAC equipment, windows, occupancy and thermostat settings.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled job at no cost up to 48 hours before the start date. Inside 48 hours, we may charge documented costs already incurred, such as material ordered specifically for your job. Residential customers also have any cancellation rights provided by Texas law.
10. Photos
We photograph our work for job records and, sometimes, for our website and social media. We never publish an address, a name or the inside of an occupied home without permission. Tell us if you would rather we did not use photos of your project publicly and we will not.
11. Liability
We carry general liability insurance and workers compensation, and we will provide certificates on request. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the work at issue, except where Texas law provides otherwise. We are not responsible for pre existing conditions or for work performed by others.
12. This website
Content on this site is general information about insulation, not an engineering specification for your building. R values, thicknesses and timelines shown are typical figures and your job will be specified in your proposal. Reach us by phone or email.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Harris County, Texas.
14. Questions
Call (713) 281-9585 or email tenergyfoam.av@gmail.com and ask. We would rather clear something up before the job than argue about it afterward.
